Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and TRT Digital Info LLC (“Platewise,” “we,” “us”), governing your use of the Platewise website and app (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use the Service.

2. Your account

You are responsible for the information in your account and for keeping your password secure. Let us know right away at contact@tryplatewise.com if you believe your account has been accessed without permission.

3. Subscriptions and free trials

Paid plans, free trials, automatic renewal, cancellation and refunds are described in our Subscription Terms, which are part of these Terms.

4. Not medical advice

Platewise provides general nutrition information and meal planning for healthy adults. It is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat or prevent any disease. Content in the Service is not a substitute for advice from a doctor, registered dietitian or other qualified professional. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, have a medical condition, an eating disorder or follow a diet prescribed by a clinician, consult a qualified professional before using the Service or changing your diet.

5. Nutrition estimates

Calorie and macronutrient values, including those generated from meal photos, are estimates. Actual values may differ because of portion sizes, ingredients, brands and preparation methods. Always read product labels, especially if you have food allergies. You are responsible for reviewing estimates and recipes before relying on them.

6. Your content

You keep ownership of the photos and information you add to the Service (“Your Content”). You give us a limited, non-exclusive license to store, process and analyze Your Content only to provide and improve the Service for you. We do not publish Your Content.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Service, including by attempting to access it in unauthorized ways, interfering with its operation, uploading unlawful or offensive content, reverse engineering the Service or using it to build a competing product.

8. Our intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, recipes, text and trademarks, belongs to TRT Digital Info LLC or its licensors. We grant you a personal, non-transferable license to use the Service while these Terms are in effect.

9. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if needed to protect the Service or other users.

10. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not guarantee any particular health, weight or fitness result.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, TRT Digital Info LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

12. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless TRT Digital Info LLC from claims arising out of your misuse of the Service or your violation of these Terms.

13. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. Before filing any claim, you agree to contact us at contact@tryplatewise.com so we can try to resolve the issue informally within 30 days. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws of your state of residence.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or through the Service before they take effect. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
